I hope that everyone is having a wonderful spring season. I know that my wife Michelle and I are. Noah, Jackson
and Tracy are enjoying each others company and many day trips to our local playground.
I wanted to take this chance
to re-establish and announce some new policies and procedures for my private lessons students beginning September 1, 2009.

Times:
Currently, I am teaching daytime
lessons M-F 9:30-11:00 in Baltimore. Evening lessons are available Monday from 3:30-8:00pm in Baltimore and Tuesday
and Thursday evening from 4:00-9:00pm at Coffey Music. Students will attend a minimum ½ hour lesson once or twice a
week depending on limitations of time. For example, if a student would like to take two lessons in one week, and other students
have already filled up all available slots, I would not be able to provide two lessons for that student.
Tuition
(Cash or Check)
My Current Tuition Rates are $95 per month in studio and $160 per month, by special arrangement,
in your home. These fees include four (4) half hour sessions per month. A $10 discount will be applied if payment is made
7 days prior to the beginning of the month.
New Students make payment at the first lesson of the
current month; a student starting lessons mid-month receives a prorated fee. NO REFUNDS.

Make-up Policy- No regular lessons will be held on the 5th week (29th, 30th or 31st) of any month; these
dates are reserved for make-up lessons. Available dates and times are posted online through the Student Center.
Make-up lessons are forfeited after six months.
Holiday
Absence - Should an occasion occur where a holiday lands on any lesson day, we will not have lessons and there will
not be any makeup available.
Attendance:
There are two situations in which a lesson is cancelled.
You are unable to make the lesson. When you are unable to make the lesson, please let me know by phone
as soon as possible. Some students appreciate coming in at times other than their appointed slot. If you call and cancel within
24 hours of your appointed time I will make an attempt to change times during that lesson day. If we cannot find an agreeable
make-up time, then we will follow the make-up policy above.
If you call and cancel in less than 24 hours of your lesson
time, payment will be forfeited for that lesson.
If I am unable to make the lesson I will do my
best to give you 48 hours notice. I will make attempts to make-up that lesson within the week on another teaching day. If
we cannot find an agreeable make-up time, we will follow the make-up policy above.
Miscellaneous
Cancellations:
Inclement Weather and School Safety: We will not have lessons if Baltimore City, Baltimore County or Carroll County Public
Schools cancel classes due to inclement weather or safety concerns. Since I have no control over these situations I cannot
refund fees paid due to these cancellations.
Illness and Emergency: We will not have lessons if the student has an illness
or has a family emergency. I will permit make-up lessons as stated above in this situation.
Summer Vacation: Lessons will continue during the summer months. If a student would like take a break from lessons I will hold your
time slot for the next year at a reduced rate of $50.00 a month. You may choose not to pay the fee for the summer, but your
day and time may not be available once school begins.
Miscellaneous:
-Please no "drop-off" students at the Baltimore Location.
Parents,
Please stay with your children at this location.
-There is no smoking permitted at any location!
-Street Parking is available at the Baltimore location.
-Metered parking until 5pm at Coffey Music.
This note does not attempt to cover all situations that
might arise. It is an outline to clarify some situations that can occur.
